QA Nurses

Cindy Allsopp, RN
Cindy Allsopp has been with Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants as a Quality Assurance Nurse since 2008. She currently works in the Recovery Room at Carolinas Medical Center - Mercy. Carolinas Medical Center - Mercy has become the home of OrthoCarolina Foot & Ankle Center, as well as, the majority of hip and knee replacements within CMC. This provides Cindy with a good knowledge of regional anesthesia and the benefits it provides. Cindy graduated as a registered nurse in 1990. The first 14 years of her career were working in maternal, child, women's health and neonatal intensive care.

Sandra Antill
Antill’s experiences in nursing started in surgery. After working in surgery for several years she worked specifically with neuro-surgery patients. She joined SAC in 2005 and has worked as a Quality Assurance Nurse in Outpatient Surgery and the PACU since.

Kristin Bradley, RN
Bradley has been in nursing for over twenty years. She worked her first year out of nursing school in Indiana where she gained experience in neurological and cardiac care. After moving to Charlotte she continued her career by working for Carolinas Healthcare System in the recovery room. While she was at CHS she gained experience in the ICU and with kidney transplant patients. Bradley worked to help implement CHS's first online charting program by teaching the nurses at the University location how to use the program. She joined Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants in 2007 as a Quality Assurance Nurse.

Rita Brainard, RN
Brainard earned her LPN when she attended Washtenaw Community College in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She worked at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the ENT, Ortho and Opthmology Units. Deciding to go back to school to become an RN, she attended Golden West Community College in Huntington Beach, California. While there she worked at Fountain Valley Community Hospital Trauma Center in the teletherapy and ICU units. After receiving her RN degree she worked in the ISU and Trauma units for many hospitals including: Carolinas Medical Center - University Hospital in Charlotte, NC, Lake Forrest Hospital in Illinois, and Northern Illinois Medical Center. Brainard Joined Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants in 1995 as a Quality Assurance Nurse and has been working in with us since then to ensure quality, patient and surgeon satisfaction.

Randi Buchanan, RN
Prior to joining Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants, Buchanan worked for PharmaNet, formerly SFBC, as the Associate Clinical Director overseeing all clinical operations. In 2005 she joined SAC as a Quality Assurance Nurse.

Bachanan earned her degree from the Memorial Mission Hospital School of Nursing in Asheville, North Carolina. She has had experience in multiple areas including hospitals, nursing homes, private practices, therapeutic care and clinical trails.

Koni Dixon-French, BSN, MA
Dixon-French joined Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants in 2002 as a Continuous Quality Improvement Post – Operative Nurse. In this role she implements and trains others on the use and understanding of the CQI process. Presently she continues to implement and perform process review of the CQI process, now called Quantum Clinical Navigation System, for all of SAC’s clients.

Dixon-French has been in the healthcare field since 1975 working primarily in the adult and pediatric critical care arenas. She began her career in healthcare as a respiratory therapist primarily working within Carolinas Healthcare facilities. After moving into the nursing field of cardiac critical care, she spent most of her time in Dickson Heart and the Cardiac Sheath Unit. She has also worked in various other areas of the nursing field including CVRU, PACU and perioperative services.

Dixon-French received her nursing degree from UNC-Greensboro and her Masters of Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.

Paula M. Jordan RN, BSN
Jordan is a Quality Assurance Nurse with Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants. She has over 25 years of nursing experience, earning her BSN at the University of South Carolina in 1973. Prior to joining SAC, she worked as a pediatric nurse for Baptist Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, a pediatric office in Louisville, Kentucky and a critical care nurse at several hospitals in both North and South Carolina.

Jacqueline Kersey, RN, BSN
Kersey received her Associate Degree in Nursing at York Technical College in Rock Hill, SC in 2003. She immediately went back to school and in 2006 received her BSN degree from the University of SC at Spartanburg. Before joining Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants as a Quality Assurance Nurse, she worked for Palmetto Health in Columbia, South Carolina as a neonatal intensive care unit nurse, Carolinas Medical Center -Union as a critical care unit RN and Carolinas Medical Center – Pineville as an RN.

Deborah McGovern, RN
McGovern has worked as a Quality Assurance Nurse for Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants since 1992. Her additional responsibilities include mentoring other nurses. She also acts as a resource and provides in-services at her primary location, Carolinas Medical Center – Main, for the QA nurses, CRNAs and MDs regarding Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants continuous quality improvement process.

Prior to joining SAC, McGovern worked at Carolina’s Medical Center and helped open their Respiratory Intensive Care Unit. She was also the head nurse over a 21 bed medical/surgical ICU unit at CMC Main. McGovern has experience in all units of the hospital most notably surgical, respiratory, neurological, and coronary care.

Adrienne Rothrock, BSN
Rothrock began her career working for Carolinas Healthcare System. She worked in the ICU and RICU (respiratory intensive care unit) for over 13 years before transferring to PACU and one day surgery. Rothrock joined Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants in 2004 as a Quality Assurance Nurse. She works in the pre-op and post-op areas for Northcross Surgery Center.

Rothrock completed her BSN at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina.

Kim Selph, RN
Selph has been a nurse for more than 17 years. Since 2002, she has worked for Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants as a Quality Assurance Nurse. Her primary responsibilities revolve around implementation of SAC’s continuous quality assurance process called Quantum Clinical Navigation System. Prior to coming to Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants she was employed in specialty areas such as PACU, ICU and CVRU. She held numerous management positions in these areas.

Janet Babcock, BSN
Babcock graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. She started her career at Presbyterian Hospital on a post-operative gastrointestinal and neurosurgical floor. She also worked at Carolinas Medical Center in the catheter lab. In 2003 she became a staff nurse at Northcross Surgery Center. Since 2004 Babcock has been a Quality Assurance Nurse for Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants
