I have questions about my bill…
The most common question that we receive is, “Why am I receiving a bill from the hospital and a bill from Southeast?” The reason that you are receiving two bills is because Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants is a separate company contracted by your hospital to provide you with anesthesia services. Your hospital stay expenses are billed by your hospital to your insurance company and then you receive an explanation of benefits as well as a bill showing the final balance. The same occurs with your anesthesia expenses. Southeast will bill your insurance company, you will receive an explanation of benefits from your insurance company and then Southeast will bill the remaining balance directly to you.
